Caitlyn Jenner is “extremely remorseful” after angering the Kardashian and Jenner families after publicly announcing that she and ex-wife Kris Jenner are no longer communicating.
A source told TMZ on Thursday that the 73-year-old Olympic gold medalist immediately regretted that her Wednesday interview on British daytime show This Morning had resulted in “family drama” when it was revealed that she had not been in contact with her Kris.
The I Am Cait star was married to Kris, 67, for 22 years and they had two children together, Kendall, 27, and Kylie, 26.
The Mount Kisco, New York-born celebrity sparked hostility from relatives after she said the state of her relationship with Kris was “really sad” while promoting the release of her three-part tell-all series House Of Kardashian.
Insiders close to Caitlyn told the medium that many family members, including Kendall and Kylie, sided with Kris on the issue when it came to Caitlyn.

A remorseful Caitlyn “is willing to do whatever it takes to heal the rift in the family,” the insider told the outlet.
The animosity within the family was heightened, the source said, because they “did not agree” with Caitlyn’s paid involvement in House of Kardashian.
Caitlyn took to Twitter on Wednesday to defend her motives for taking part in the three-part project, which was produced by Comcast-owned, Europe-based Sky.
“I did House of Kardashian to defend my family, and I speak highly of my children and Kris – the mastermind behind it – with whom I shared 22 wonderful years,” Caitlyn said.
Caitlyn said she “wanted to say in the interview” that she “didn’t speak to her as part of this project” and claimed that they were in touch sporadically.
“To be clear, I’m thrilled that @KrisJenner and I are able to talk, co-parent, and see each other here and there,” Caitlyn said. “We spent 22 great years together.”
Sources told TMZ on Thursday that Caitlyn — who has not appeared on the family’s current Hulu series “The Kardashians” — believes she should be able to work on what she wants without that she has a duty of confidentiality in family matters.

Caitlyn’s presence in the family has been causing tension for some time – with a memorable Keeping Up With The Kardashians scene in which Kendall clashed with Kris for not inviting her to the family’s Christmas Eve party.
The former Olympic athlete was also said to be “shocked” last year when she didn’t receive an invite to Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s third wedding in Italy.
The drama first arose in 2017 when the newly minted Caitlyn released her memoir The Secrets Of My Life, which included a cautionary tale about Kris and her marriage.
“I tell Kris about my gender issues before I make love to her,” Caitlyn insists in the book, some of which Kris has publicly denied. “There will always be arguments between Kris and me about how much she can understand my gender issues.” She insists she was surprised by my ultimate transition to Caitlyn.
“I told her I was dressing up as a woman and she knew I was doing that because I did it in front of her several times after we got married.”
The Kardashian sisters immediately bonded over their mother, while Caitlyn’s relationship with Khloe turned into a bitter feud that lasted for years.

After 14 years, the Kardashian-Jenner clan decided to end their long-running reality series, announcing in 2020 that season 20 would be their last.
In an interview with Australia’s The Morning Show, Caitlyn claimed that she was not informed by her family that the show was ending.
“I heard it on the news!” she said. “Nobody called me, I heard it through the media.” Was I surprised? NO.’
Keeping Up With The Kardashians officially concluded in June 2021 when the family took part in a two-part reunion special. Caitlyn didn’t show up.
During the special, Kris spoke briefly about her failed marriage, admitting to host Andy Cohen that she and Caitlyn had “a lot of really great years” together.
When asked if Caitlyn’s transition played a role in her divorce, Kris dismissed that notion and admitted that they probably would have split anyway.
