Among the highlights of the party in Goiânia (GO), the 1.60 meter cake inspired by Disney gardens attracted attention.

And to g1, cake designer Mariana Junqueira, in charge of production, confirmed: “A cake like this costs around R$58,000” 🤑.

“Some people commented that the cake was expensive because it was for an artist, a rich person, but this cake was worth what it was for anyone because it involved a lot of work,” he said in a post on social media.

It took Mariana more than a month to design Maria Flor’s cake with her team. In addition to the businesswoman herself, the production required seven employees and ten working days (See video above for more details).

“The project involved making more than 6,000 sugar flowers by hand, petal by petal,” explains the expert.

“We also added a 2foot tall sugar sculpture of Mickey Mouse covered in hydrangeas to the cake.”

Maria Flor’s cake was made of fondant and all the flowers were made of sugar and could be eaten.

And since Mariana’s team works in São Paulo (SP), special logistics were required to transport the cake to Goiânia (GO), where the birthday party took place.

“It was a lot of working days for a team. There’s customer service, marketing, structure, taxes.” […] And there is a lot of commitment from everyone, a lot of learning, a lot of courses, investments. “People have no idea what it’s like to do such work,” says Mariana.

She also highlighted her daughter’s birthday project, who wanted a cake taller than her for the party.

“We made a very large cake with 7 layers and sweets scattered all over the cake. She actually had to be hung on my lap to blow out the candle,” he recalls.

The famous pastry chef 👩‍🍳🤩

Mariana Junqueira started baking cakes almost 10 years ago, initially for friends and acquaintances. In her opinion, production was like a hobby because she liked decorating cakes and always had craftsmanship.

Before dedicating herself to the confectionery business, Mariana studied law at a private college in São Paulo (SP), but said she did not like the profession.

With her work, she became more and more prominent in the market until she had to expand her team and open a store to serve consumers. The Justus family was one of his first customers.

“From the beginning, it happened that the Justos family, in the middle of this journey, at the very beginning, got to know me, commissioned me, made my work known… This spread among their circle of friends and celebrities,” says Mariana.

“Then I started gaining people’s favor and specializing in making cakes and sweets, taking a course and learning how to decorate even more cakes, a path that we continue to pursue to this day, this growth .”

In addition to Roberto Justus and his wife Ana Paula Siebert, Fran and Fabi Justus, Mariana has already served: Faustão, Sílvio Santos, Neymar, Tiago Leifert, Ticiane Pinheiro, Karina Bacchi, Fernanda Vasconcelos and other celebrities.
