Popular comedian Cal Wilson has died at the age of 53.
The New Zealand-born TV personality died on Wednesday after a short illness.
She was surrounded by her friends and family at Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney.
She is survived by her husband Chris and their son Digby.
Wilson also worked as a radio and television presenter, actress and author and achieved fame in Australia.

“Cal’s generosity, talent and friendships have remained consistent in the Australian comedy scene over the last twenty years,” her management company, Token Artists, said in a statement.
“Cal was loved by her family, friends, fans and peers and a huge hole has been left in the heart of our community.”
Wilson moved from Christchurch, New Zealand to Melbourne in 2003, where she appeared on the sketch show Skithouse.

She landed her own Netflix stand-up special and also appeared on Spicks and Specks, Would I Lie To You and Good News Week.
