Artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on future generations of communications professionals was another focus of the event, which saw 257 exhibiting companies and brands gather at the National Exhibition Center in Abu Dhabi.
On this aspect, Minister of State for AI, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, Omar Sultan Al Olama, highlighted that according to global forecasts, by 2026, AI-generated content will dominate more than 90 percent of the Internet.
In press statements, Al Olama claimed that the media will be one of the biggest beneficiaries of AI as it enables the generation of content in very large quantities and at a very low cost, helping to improve the dissemination of information.
However, the headline warned of the dangers that inappropriate use of AI can bring to society, while underscoring the urgent need for media outlets around the world to focus on becoming reputable and reliable sources of truthful information.
