Cameron Diaz, 51, enjoys a RARE family outing with her husband Benji Madden, 44, and daughter Raddix, 3, in Montecito

Cameron Diaz was every bit the hands-on mom as she carried her daughter Raddix on a rare family trip with husband Benji Madden in Montecito.

As she prepared to buckle her little girl, who turns four next month, into the backseat of her black SUV on Saturday, the 51-year-old “In Her Shoes” actress smiled sweetly as her longtime husband reached for the car door .

The happy couple’s rambunctious toddler appeared full of energy before they headed home as she held onto Diaz’s hand and ran around in a pair of red and black Spiderman sneakers.

At some point, Raddix apparently managed to remove one of her shoes, which her father dutifully picked up and placed in her vehicle.

The “Charlie’s Angels” star looked casually chic in an all-black ensemble that consisted of a black button-down shirt, matching pants, and a $1,490 fanny pack.

She opted to style her platinum blonde locks into a low bun, with a few dangling strands framing her face.

The mother-of-one completed her relaxed look with black glasses and olive Birkenstocks, which showed off her burgundy pedicure.

For her outing, Madden wore a black baseball cap, hoodie and pants.

Diaz and Madden met in early 2014 through Nicole Richie, who is married to Benji’s twin brother Joel Madden.

At the beginning of January 2015 she married the lead guitarist and backing singer of the band Good Charlotte.

The couple welcomed Raddix as a surrogate on December 30, 2019.

Raddix attended Diaz’s sister-in-law Sofia Richie’s wedding in the south of France earlier this year, along with both of her parents.

In March, Diaz said motherhood was “the best thing” she had “ever done in her life.”

When asked how she deals with the difficult moments, the mother-of-one admitted that she has a “checklist” that she works through.

“Did she eat? Is she tired? What time is it? When was the last time she ate? When did she sleep? “You just start there and ask yourself, ‘What just happened?’ Is there something she wants to tell me?” the actress explained.

“And I feel like my job as a mother is just to help her put into words her feelings, her experiences and what she’s going through and help her recognize that and get through it.”

Still, Cameron admitted that moments like these can be “challenging.”

She added: “But you know what’s really essential – fix it.” Like if you blow up just to fix that and be like, “Oh my God, mommy lost her shit.” And: ” I didn’t want to tell you that.”

“If I hurt your feelings or upset you, I just want you to know that mom is human too.”‘
