They join the dancers of the Trois Rivières troupe Conversion, who won their ticket to the final last week.

Geneviève Côté and The Cast managed to ring out the famous “Golden Buzzer” during their audition, which secured them a place in the semi-finals. On Tuesday night, Lavalloise, 47, and the Lévis dance group were once again invited to take part in the next stage of the competition.

Dressed in white frock coats with silver sleeves, The Cast’s 32 dancers performed a number markedly different from their last performance Tuesday night at the start of the show. This time they worked on their emotions and their intensity, which harmonized perfectly with the violins and electric guitars that accompanied them on stage.

“You were epic,” Howie Mandel said at the end of her number. “I think I’m not the only one who thinks you have a great chance of winning this competition,” added Cardinal Offishall.

For Caroline Lemieux, the troupe’s artistic director and co-choreographer, these praises raise expectations for the grand finale and put a little pressure on her shoulders.

The troupe is currently working on a brand new number that will once again transport the audience to a new universe.

“There are still so many adjustments to be made in terms of costumes and transformation,” the choreographer said in an interview on Tuesday. However, the making and the work are more important at this point than the results of the finals, which will be in the hands of the public next week anyway, she added.

Of the troupe’s 32 dancers – all between the ages of 16 and 21 – about fifteen are making their TV debuts. The others have participated in various projects here and there, including World of Dance, which aired on NBC in the US. “The projects turn her on. A TV “show” is fun, takes a lot of work, but in the end you’re never really the loser. These are great experiences and great memories for her,” said Caroline Lemieux.

Jeanick Fournier’s ghost watches over Geneviève Côté

Geneviève Côté was the last semifinalist to appear on the boards at the Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls on Tuesday night. She delivered a stunning atmospheric and cinematic number that showcased the extent of her vocal ability.

The impersonator has been in the business for more than a decade and has been on cloud nine, pinching herself every day since Howie Mandel pushed the “golden button.”

“If you persevere, one day the right door will open. […] Let go and the magic will work when you’re not expecting it,” said Geneviève Côté, whose life has been completely transformed since starring on the show.

The sound maker has gone through difficult times in the past; Her mother committed suicide when she was 11, she raised her son alone when she was 20, she worked in restaurants to earn a living, and she went into therapy to regain her confidence.

The story of last edition’s winner, Jeanick Fournier, was echoed in Geneviève Côté. “He was my guardian angel from the start. We don’t know each other but she is so inspiring. When I saw her leave, I got “urges.” I watched his “Golden Buzzer” repeatedly. I cried and laughed with her. She’s been holding my hand since the beginning of the adventure,” argued the Quebecer in an interview.

Now in full control of her means, Geneviève Côté believes that “even when life is difficult, miracles are possible”, stressing the importance of seeking help to believe in yourself.

The result of the Guinea-based Montreal acrobatics group CBA is currently in the hands of the public.

Canada’s Got Talent grand prize winner will receive $150,000. The final will be broadcast live on Citytv next Tuesday from 8 p.m.
