Singer-songwriter Michel Pagliaro, also known as Pag, will be inducted onto Canada’s Walk of Fame in Toronto on Thursday evening.
The Canadian rocker, who shaped the 1970s and 1980s in both official languages, is included alongside twelve other rock groups or singers who were developing in the music scene at the same time.
Glass Tiger, Loverboy, April Wine, Chilliwack and Max Webster are included, as are Platinum Blonde, The Parachute Club, Rough Trade, Prism, Trooper, Lighthouse and singer Lee Aaron.
Canadian artists will be honored at a “mega induction ceremony” this Thursday, the first of two induction ceremonies planned for 2023 to mark the organization’s 25th anniversary, and they are all expected to perform on stage.
The annual induction ceremony airs in December.
Canada’s Walk of Fame is a non-profit organization that honors Canadians who have distinguished themselves in the fields of arts and entertainment, science and technology, business, philanthropy and athletics.
Note that Michel Rivard, Marjo and Jean Millaire will be inducted into the pantheon of Canadian authors and composers on October 11 at Espace St-Denis in Montreal.
