The Montreal Canadiens held their usual rookie dinner in Chicago on Friday night and, as tradition dictates, the team’s young players, including Juraj Slafkovsky, had to open their wallets.

The mood was even happier as the Canadian had just defeated the Blackhawks 3-2 in a shootout at the United Center.
Taking to social media, defender Chris Wideman shared two of the bottles donated by the rookies, a 1988 Château Lafite Rothschild and a 1999 Échézeaux Emmanuel Rouget Grand Cru. Those bottles alone can cost thousands of dollars.
Luckily, the bill was split between Slafkovsky, Arber Xhekaj, Kaiden Guhle, Jordan Harris and Johnathan Kovacevic. So it pays off to count on a young team.
The Canadiens players will resume practice on Sunday, while the next game is scheduled for Tuesday at the Bell Center against the San Jose Sharks.
