The Canadian high school teacher, who wears Z-size breasts to work, incredibly claimed they weren’t fake – and denied being the person photographed leaving home without them – but admitted that she can’t prove it.
“I don’t wear breast prostheses. These are real,” Kayla Lemieux told the Post in an exclusive interview on Saturday.
Lemieux – who wore women’s clothing, with a blonde wig, makeup and her huge breasts – said she was “not a transgender person” but was born “intersex”.
“My condition is classified as gigantomastia, which can also be referred to as macromastia or breast hypertrophy,” Lemieux said while sitting at a coffee shop in Burlington, near Toronto.
“It’s rare, there’s no doubt about that. It very rarely affects women, but in my case I think – and my doctor thinks – because I also have XX chromosomes it has something to do with it and hormone sensitivity to estrogen caused it.”
Kayla Lemieux claims she was “not a transgender person” but was born “intersex”.
Pressing for evidence, Lemieux — who spoke in a soft, high-pitched voice with a distinctive Canadian accent — said she was never given a formal diagnosis.
Lemieux also denied being the person photographed by The Post last week driving out of her apartment building and walking on a sidewalk a short time later.
This person – who wore men’s clothing and had no breasts – bore a striking resemblance to the teacher and was identified as Lemieux by a neighbor.

“I can’t tell you who this is because I don’t want to implicate anyone else. I don’t want that person to be cast by the media, but I wasn’t,” Lemieux said.
“This is who I am. This is what I look like. They’ve spoken to people in my building, but what they tell you is harsh and untrue. I always come out as I am.”

When asked if her appearance ever differed from her appearance at the time, Lemieux said, “I think when I took off my wig or took off my makeup.”
“But I would still have boobs. You can’t hide them. People commenting online are basically body shaming,” Lemieux added.
Lemieux has sparked controversy around the world since photos and videos of her went viral last year, shortly after she began working as a store teacher at Oakville Trafalgar High School in Ontario in September.
The school was also subjected to repeated bomb and gun threats, with targeted threats directed at Lemieux and school officials.
Students have also reportedly been threatened with suspension if they take photos or videos of Lemieux on school grounds.
Lemieux told the Post that she started hormone replacement therapy in 2021 and is “in transition.”
“I identify as a woman. Feminine. You/they,” said Lemieux.
When asked if hormone therapy was responsible for the size of her breasts, she replied “yes.”
“All my life I have identified as a man. I looked like a man. When I decided, around the age of 39, to embrace that other side of myself, it showed,” she said.

Lemieux said intersex “can mean different things to different people, but generally males are born with XY chromosomes and females are born with XX chromosomes.”
“Intersex people can have a mix of these two different sets of chromosomes. It may be something they don’t even know about. It can show up in other physical features at birth, so it can be more or less obvious depending on the individual,” Lemieux said.
The famous Cleveland Clinic describes gigantomastia, which Lemieux claims is “a rare condition resulting in extremely large breasts due to excessive breast tissue growth,” with only about 300 reported cases.
“It affects people who were assigned a female at birth. When you suffer from gigantomastia, you experience rapid and disproportionate breast growth. The rate at which your breasts grow can vary from a few weeks to several years,” according to the Cleveland Clinic’s website.
“It can happen during puberty, pregnancy or by taking medication. In some cases it occurs spontaneously and for no reason.”
Photos and videos of Lemieux taken at school show her in tight clothing with large nipples sticking out from under the fabric of her bodice.

Outraged parents called for the Halton County School Board to impose a dress code on teachers, which was initially rejected last year over concerns it violated Ontario’s human rights code.
In January, the school board agreed to develop a policy requiring teachers to maintain a “proper and professional” appearance, but a Wednesday school board meeting erupted into fierce public complaints, according to the National Post.
Police were called after several board members left the room and a woman was reportedly thrown out.
Julia Malott, a transgender mother from Kitchener, Ontario, attended the meeting and advocated a dress code that would allow teachers to express their self-identified gender.
But Malott, 32, told the Post she was stunned by Lemieux’s prosthetic breasts.
“I can’t understand why anyone would wear something that’s publicly sexualized in that way,” Malott said. “What they are wearing is absolutely not suitable for school. It is fetish wear used in sex work and the drag industry, or by people in their own homes enjoying it. It’s certainly not something I want to show my daughter.”

Malott also said, “When you transfer, your aim is to blend in as much as possible.”
“When someone wears breast prostheses that big, which draws international attention, that sticks in a lot of people’s minds about trans people in general,” she said. “That doesn’t reflect well.”
Lemieux told the Post that she was “following the instructions of the board as they ordered,” but denied she was dressing in a provocative manner.
“I don’t think there are any problems with my clothes. It is other people’s personal opinion. I don’t think I dressed unprofessionally,” she said.
“I’m obscured by all these photos that have been taken. In the fall there were some comments about me wearing what they called cycling shorts and they said it was inappropriate.
“But when you look at these pictures, they almost bring me to my knees. You could call them short leggings, so to speak. There are teachers who wear leggings to school all the time,” she added.
When asked about her protruding nipples, Lemieux declined to answer.

Lemieux also said she was “fit to be a school teacher” and said she “never spoke about my private life in the classroom.”
“The narrative is, I look sexualized. It’s a narrative that was constructed,” she said. “People aren’t really sexualized in my opinion. People look the way they do, it’s not their fault. You should accept yourself as you are, you should have faith in who you are.”
Lemieux added: “If I had a low opinion of myself or didn’t have such a wonderful self-image, I would have been crushed by everything that happens in the media.
“But to me, it’s just background noise. It’s very annoying and actually a bit scary,” she added.
When asked why she agreed to break her silence and speak publicly, Lemieux conceded that it took “some courage”.
“I’m trying to show that I’m a person, I have feelings and I’m trying to show people that I’m a human being,” she said. “I’m not trying to win anyone over or get them on my side. People will believe what they want to believe. It is time to publish my story.”
Representatives from Oakville Trafalgar High School, the Halton District School Board and the Ontario Department of Education did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
