The Montreal Canadiens lost 5-2 to the Florida Panthers for the second straight game Thursday at the Bell Center.
The meeting, however, had started in the best possible way for the Habs. After just 83 seconds of play, young striker Sean Farrell got the shot on target in his first career duel at the Bell Centre. His poor shot from a tight angle surprised goalkeeper Alex Lyon.
However, that success beat the Florida team, who controlled the rest of the meeting. The Panthers overtook the column 30-20.
Matthew Tkachuk was the Canadian’s main torturer by scoring a hat-trick. He also reached the 100-point plateau for the second straight season.
Anton Lundell scored the other two goals for the visitors.
At the very end of the game, Rafaël Harvey-Pinard narrowed the gap by threading the thread for the 14th time of the season. He redirected a shot pass from Mike Hoffman into a massive attack.
On Saturday, CH will be visited by the Carolina Hurricanes.
