After receiving the documents regarding his separation from Saudi Arabia's Al-Adalah, Christofer Gonzales is about to return to Universitario de Deportes, the club where he grew up playing football.
The administrator of the cream institution himself announced that Canchita would arrive in the capital today to seal his agreement with the current Peruvian football champion.
“I can't guarantee anything until the signature arrives, but Christofer Gonzales should arrive on Tuesday to stamp it. We are very satisfied because we have made an important leap in quality,” explained Jean Ferrari to the media at Jorge Chávez Airport.
The manager also pointed out that Christofer would not be the last new addition to Universitario. “Yes, we are in this evacuation. Discussions are ongoing with the sports department, with Manuel (Barreto) and with Professor Fabián (Bustos).”
The “U” is preparing as best it can to start its 100th anniversary on a good foot. This year the student team aims to win the national championship twice and have a good season in the Copa Libertadores.
Universitario comes from a 1-1 draw against Atlético Nacional in Miami, with points from Edison Flores and Dorlan Pabón, and their next clash will be against Coquimbo Unidos for the Noche Crema, which will take place on Saturday January 20th at the Monumental- stadium will take place.
