Car accident: Three young adults are killed on the way back from a funeral

Three friends aged between 18 and 19 lost their lives on Monday evening and two others are believed to still be fighting for their lives after a violent collision between a bus and an Audi on the way back from a funeral in Coedely, Wales .

“I miss you so much already. I don't know how to live life without you. Broken in the truest sense of the word […] Just six hours ago we said our usual “I love you.” It hurts so much,” said the parents of Morgan Smith, one of the victims of the tragedy, according to local media Wales Online.

On Monday, the promising 18-year-old boxer and his two friends, Callum Griffiths, 19, and Jesse Owen, 18, were said to be returning from a memorial service when they were allegedly involved in a violent collision between a bus and an Audi, around 7 p.m p.m., the BBC reported.

“Callum was my best friend and the most selfless person in the world. “I will always love him and am very proud of him,” his younger sister Erin, 15, wrote, according to British media.

“[Jesse Owen] “I have left a big hole in our hearts and our lives will never be the same without him,” said the family of the third young victim.

The three young adults reportedly died at the scene, while two other men, ages 18 and 19, were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Two other minor injuries were also reportedly treated at the scene, but there is no cause for concern about them, Wales Online said.

Testimonies poured in from all over social media to pay tribute to the three men, while their former schools issued a joint press release lamenting their profound loss.

“Our current and former students are the heart of our communities and it is incredibly sad that a life full of potential and promise was taken too soon,” they said, according to local media.

The fatal collision came just weeks after four friends aged 16 to 18 lost their lives when their car plunged into a river during a camping weekend in Snowdonia.
