The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued recalls last week for more than 3 million vehicles, including more than 1.7 million Kia cars and 1.6 million Hyundai cars. Problems that could cause a fire.

Important recall: Kia and Hyundai are recalling over 3.3 million vehicles due to possible fire problems
Kia recall
According to an NHTSA report, Kia is recalling 1,730,192 vehicles because the hydraulic electronic control unit (HECU) could cause an electrical short that could lead to an engine compartment fire. This can increase the risk of injury.
Kia is asking owners to park their cars outside and away from buildings until the recall is completed. If there is a problem, the HECU will be replaced free of charge.
Notification letters will be sent by November 14th. Owners can contact Kia customer service at 1-800-333-4542. Kia’s recall number is SC284.

Hyundai recall
Hyundai is recalling 1,642,551 vehicles due to an issue with the anti-lock braking system (ABS) module, according to an NHTSA report. Brake fluid can leak inside and cause an electrical short. This could result in an engine compartment fire, which could increase the risk of an accident or injury.
Owners of these cars are asked to park outside and away from any structures until repairs are completed.

Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator recall
Chrysler is recalling 6,298 manual transmission Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles. According to NHTSA, the backup camera on these vehicles can fail. Additionally, the backup lights may not illuminate when the vehicle is reversing. Both of these problems can affect the driver’s ability to see and not alert other drivers that the vehicle is reversing.
The gear position sensor will be replaced by a dealer free of charge.
Notification letters are expected to be sent on November 7th. If you need to contact Chrysler customer service, the number is 1-800-853-1403. The number for this recall is 92A.

Subaru recall: Outback, Legacy, Ascent and Impreza
Subaru is recalling 4,311 Outback, Legacy, Ascent and Impreza vehicles. According to an NHTSA report, the center support bolts that attach to the driveshaft could become loose. This will separate the front end of the driveshaft, which could result in an accident.
Dealers will clean the center support brace bolt mounting surfaces and install new bolts.
Subaru’s customer service number is 1-844-373-6614. The recall number is WRN-23. Notification letters will be sent on November 20th.

Kia recall: Forte
Kia is recalling 3,866 of its 2023 Forte vehicles. NHTSA said the right lower forearm may not have been welded properly. This can result in a sudden loss of steering control.
Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until repairs are completed. If repairs are necessary, the dealer will provide a free replacement.

BMW calls back: Rolls-Royce
BMW is recalling 1,305 2021-2023 Rolls-Royce Ghost vehicles, according to an NHTSA report. The tempered glass can break in an accident. This can lead to injuries in an accident.
Dealers apply a protective layer to the tempered glass free of charge.
If you need assistance, you can call Rolls-Royce customer service at 1-877-877-3735. Notification letters will be sent by November 13th.

BMW recall: 740i, 760i, xDrive and i7 xDrive60
BMW is recalling some of its 2023 740i, 760i xDrive and i7 xDrive60 vehicles. According to an NHTSA report, the vehicle’s windshield wiper may potentially fail in certain weather conditions. This can reduce visibility, which can increase the risk of an accident
Dealers will check and replace the windshield wiper system free of charge.

Hyundai recall: 2024 Kona
Hyundai is recalling 2,354 of its certain Kona vehicles. According to an NHTSA report, the rear seat belts may not be working properly. If an accident occurs, the occupant may not be properly restrained, which could result in injury.
If there is a problem with the rear seat belt, the dealer will replace it free of charge.
Notification letters will be sent on November 21st. Owners can contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. The callback number is 250.

General Motors is recalling: Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon
General Motors is recalling 189 2023 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Yukon XL vehicles. The arm bolts on the rear suspension outer control may not have been properly heat treated. According to an NHTSA report, this causes the bolts to break and the rear wheel to become misaligned.
