Cardi B pulls out of Assisted Living, Paramount Players cancels film

The future of this movie is definitely up in the air.

Production company Paramount Players has suspended work on the comedy Life With Care after star Cardi B dropped out of the project.

Sources told Deadline that filming on the $30 million film was just a week away when the 29-year-old rapper pulled out.

The other cast and crew were told that the film was temporarily out of production.

Insiders told the publication that the reason for the departure of the “Bodak Yellow” singer is overexertion.

In the comedy, Cardi was to play a criminal who must go on the run after being framed for a crime. She tries to prove her innocence and hides in her grandmother’s nursing home. In another comedic twist, she flaunts old lady dentures and makeup to help her fit in.

Harlem native Themby Banks was to direct the film. According to Deadline, as this new development is taking place in real time, there could be legal action against Cardi due to her late departure.

The source explained that “I hope we can put everything back together at the end of this year.”

The Stripper star is a busy mom of two who gave birth to her second child in September 2021 with husband Offset.

She recently had to make her 3-year-old daughter Kultura’s Instagram account private after learning the page was filled with hate messages.

“I didn’t check my daughter’s account, but now I’m going to block her page,” Cardi wrote in a now-deleted tweet last month.

She added: “I don’t know [what the f–k] happens, but I hope all your mothers die for giving birth to you whores, freaks.

The New York native was also embroiled in a nasty lawsuit against YouTuber Tasha K. In January, Cardi was awarded $4 million in a libel case against a vlogger who claimed he contracted a STD and cheated on her husband.

A spokesperson for Cardi B was unable to contact The Post for comment.
