The digital influencer Carlinhos Maia reveals that he is suffering panic syndrome. On Thursday night the 15th, the 31yearold comedian said on his Instagram that he was stepping away from social media to focus on treatment.

Carlinhos stated that he has been fighting the disease for a number of years, but the Robbery at his home in MaceióAL, in May the situation worsened. “Now I’m taking some time for myself because I’m not 100% (…) I’m taking these days to be calm, to recover, to be 100% and then we’ll come back with everything (… ) I’ve had panic syndrome for many years, I don’t talk to you all the time. And since the robbery, it’s increased,” the influencer said in Stories.

In 2021, Carlinhos had already revealed the diagnosis in an interview for the Inteligência Ltda podcast. At the time, the influencer said it all started with some virtual attacks.

“I never even talked about it. I had very severe panic syndrome shortly after I got married (he and Lucas Guimarães, also an influencer, got married in May 2019). I went crazy, I was scared of everything and I didn’t leave the house… When you get a lot of criticism, you always think that at any moment someone will hurt you.” I was shaking in the house, I didn’t sleep, it was a very bad one stage in my life. It’s been a very difficult few months. I’ve lost 12 kilos,” Carlinhos said at the time.
