Carlo Conti can’t talk about Fabrizio Frizzi with tears in his eyes on TV: “Otherwise let’s change the subject…”

Carlo Conti does not defend himself. At the Maurizio Costanzo Show he almost shows off tears, can’t speak by Fabrizio Frizzi, who passed away in 2018. He was very close to his colleague and good friend. “Let’s change the subject, otherwise I’ll get too excited,” he says in an almost broken voice to the 83-year-old journalist on the stage of the Parioli in Rome. Costanzo understands the difficult moment and is happy about it.

asks Maurizio Costanzo Carlo Conti his relationship with Frizzi, the audience applauds loudly from the audience in memory of the presenter. “There was a very strong bond between us. Beyond the professional relationship, there was a great human relationship. And then we became quite old fathers and this thing bonded us a lot,” explains the 61-year-old enthusiastically.

“I my Matthew, he his Star,” he adds, speaking of their children of the same age. Then, overwhelmed with emotion, with the tears in the eyes, he prompts Costanzo to talk about something else: “Let’s change the subject, otherwise I’ll get too touched…”.

The journalist asks him about the 8-year-old son he had by Francesca Vaccaro. “I don’t know what he’ll do when he grows up. I see him being oriented towards those things by the new generation of YouTubers. I wish him the same luck as I do in turning his passion into a career,” reveals Conti. On his possible return to the theater with Leonardo Pieraccioni and Giorgio Panariello, he reveals: “The three of us have a lot of fun together. The last tour we did went very well. There’s this desire to do the show together again. I don’t know if we’ll do it again. The same, a reinterpretation or something new. Again, there is a great brotherhood and great professional esteem. We like to work together and we’re ‘bad boys’.”
