Sainz and Thomas beat McLaren’s Lando Norris and his partner Rickie Fowler early on before facing Alpine’s Pierre Gasly and Tony Finau in the final, having previously beaten Williams’ Alex Albon and Max Homa.
Sainz and Thomas then went head-to-head with Gasly and Finau in the next playoff hole. In the end it was the Ferrari driver and his two-time major winning partner Thomas who took victory.
There was a lot of action from the start, as the four golfers teeed off at the same time on the first hole before racing their golf carts around the “racetrack” to get to their balls on the fairway.
They then tried to get to the green the fastest, with the goal of seeing who could find their golf ball the quickest before hitting it in the hole, while also overcoming the surprise challenges that came their way.
