Carmosina Silva, better known as Carminha, private secretary to the singer Roberto Carlos for almost 40 years, died this Saturday (September 23) at the age of 83. The professional, the king’s loyal squire, died at home in Urca, south of Rio de Janeiro.
Carminha was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease more than a decade ago and currently recognized no one. She lived in an apartment that Roberto Carlos had in the building where he lives. The singer set up home care for his former secretary on the property.
Carminha was a friend of Roberto Carlos’ mother, Laura Braga, and was referred to by the artist as his “guardian angel.” She was the one who greeted fans at the door of the singer’s building and delivered his personal messages to family members and the press.

In April, Roberto Carlos paid tribute to his girlfriend on her birthday. “Today is Carminha’s birthday. For those who don’t know her, Carminha is a very important person in the life and career of Roberto Carlos, having worked as his secretary since the 70s!
