Married to author João Emanuel Carneiro for 17 years, Carmo Dalla Vecchia revealed their romance began in an unlikely way: with the actor’s death. At least with his death at the scene. The All Flowers novelist saw the bloody heartthrob on TV and soon expressed interest.
The unveiling took place during Dalla Vecchia’s participation in Altas Horas on Saturday (22). After Brunna Gonçalves appeared on the program to surprise Ludmilla with a declaration of love, Serginho Groisman asked Érico of Amor Perfeito to also declare himself to Carneiro.
“Make a declaration of love? First, I’ll tell you how we met. I used to do the series A Casa das Sete Mulheres [2003] and towards the end I died a horrible death,” Carmo recalled. “Then João was watching TV, he was looking at this guy, at the same time he was calling the author and he was like, ‘Maria Adelaide [Amaral]who is this boy that just died?'”
The Portuguese writer satisfied his friend’s curiosity. “[Ela disse:] “It’s an actor, Carmo Dalla Vecchia, I don’t know what”. He kept that information,” the heartthrob continued. “They had called him about a theater project, but he wasn’t very interested: ‘With who?’ ‘Carmo Dalla Vecchia’. “I want, I’ll do it, I’ll do the project!”. And then we met.”
On television, the two collaborated in soap operas such as Cobras & Lagartos (2006), A Favorita (2008) and A Regra do Jogo (2015) alongside the series A Cura (2010). João Emanuel and Carmo also have a son, Pedro Rafael.
The actor then followed Serginho Groisman’s request and declared himself her husband. “I told him like this: ‘We were born alone and we go alone.’ But I wanted to tell him that in almost 18 years at his side, I’ve never felt lonely.”
“And that every day for these almost 18 years I feel forever that he’s a lasting novelty for me, and I for him, I think that makes us so happy. I love you,” he concluded with a sigh Ludmilla and the audience of the program.
