CHARLOTTE – The Carolina Panthers and Bank of America today announced an extension of their naming rights agreement for Bank of America Stadium.
The agreement extends a partnership that dates back to 2004, when Bank of America took over the naming rights for the venue. Since the original agreement was signed, the stadium has become much more than just a site for Panthers football games. Add to that football and a growing array of concerts and events that continue to have a positive economic impact on the surrounding community.
“We are proud that the stadium will continue to bear the name of one of Charlotte’s most recognized and philanthropic companies,” said Carolina Panthers President Kristi Coleman. “The extension of our naming rights agreement not only underscores the value of our partnership, but also underscores the mutual trust and shared commitment that defines our relationship.”
The collaboration between the Panthers and Bank of America goes beyond the name on the building. The two organizations have established a strategic partnership that aims to provide, through programs such as the 3rd & Goal Literacy Program, Teacher of the Year Award, Regional Spelling Bee Program, and Play it Forward Clinic, to name a few. to have a positive and lasting impact on the community few.

Since 2018, Bank of America Stadium has grown from hosting approximately 10 soccer-related events per year to nearly 40 major ticketed events per year, attracting visitors to the stadium from all 50 states, Washington DC, Puerto Rico and 31 countries.
That includes the upcoming Duke's Mayo Bowl matchup on Dec. 27 between North Carolina and West Virginia.
In 2022, more than 1.85 million tickets were distributed for events at Bank of America Stadium.
Bank of America Stadium is already home to numerous domestic and international soccer events and was also announced earlier this month as one of the venues for CONMEBOL's prestigious Copa America 2024. Argentina, as well as some of the world's biggest individual stars, are expected to attract 150,000 people to Uptown next July .
Beyond sports and entertainment, Bank of America Stadium hosts hundreds of corporate and community events throughout the year and served as a mass vaccination site in 2020 and an early voting site in the 2020 and 2022 elections.
