Vogue model Carre Otis, 54, gets her first big modeling job in 20 years… after rocking the ’90s with Guess ads and a marriage to Mickey Rourke
Carre Otis is back with great success.
The 54-year-old California native from Marin County, California, has landed an ad campaign with Julianne Moore for Hourglass Cosmetics, which she likes because 5 percent of Unlocked Lipstick proceeds go to animal welfare.
It’s been 20 years since Otis – who was a Guess pinup and was also married to her Wild Orchid co-star Mickey Rourke – landed a high-profile modeling job.

Carre looked stunning with her gray hair slicked back as she added ruby red lipstick.
“Thank you to these powerhouse women I had the privilege of spending a day in NYC with,” her caption began.

The star has been active on social media for decades.
She is the founder of the Bare Mama Project and works with Model Alliance to address the lack of protection models still lack.
The cover girl has been married to Matthew Sutton since 2005 and they live in Sonoma County with their teenage daughters, Kaya and Jade.

Otis was one of the biggest supermodels of the 1990s when she posed for Guess and became a frequent Vogue cover girl.
When Otis was cast in 1990’s sex thriller Wild Orchid with Rourke and then married cinema’s bad boy, the brunette bombshell achieved superstar status.
When she was married to Rourke from 1992 to 1998, their relationship became a mess.
In Beauty Disrupted: A Memoir, she said she was shot in the chest after Mickey stashed a pistol in her pocket without telling her. The bullet landed just two inches from her heart.
“We were on a set in Santa Fe, Mickey was working, and there was a horrible accident,” Carre has said in the past. “There was a gun, his gun, it was in a pocket.” Carre threw the bag on the ground and the gun went off.
“I was hit by a .357 bullet,” she said. “It was about two inches from my heart. It exited through my shoulder. I was incredibly lucky that I didn’t hit a bone.”
