In 2019, they filed a lawsuit against comedy group Porta dos Fundos and Netflix over the Christmas special, The First Temptation of Christ. They ended up in court in April last year.
Kis was also recently criticized for claiming that families made up of LGBTQIA+ people pose a threat and destroy lives in an interview with Leda Nagle. Also in response to the statement, actress Lúcia Veríssimo posted a photo on Instagram of her kissing Kis. (folha press)
