Cat returned to the shelter twice for being very affectionate

Cat returned to the shelter twice for being ‘very affectionate and playful’ and received good news

It sounds like a lie or even a bad joke, but a kitten has been returned to the shelter twice because it was “very affectionate and playful”. Despite that tragic start, the cat earned her happy ending after an emotional Facebook post, local news outlet North Jersey reported.

At the age of two, Bruno, who lived at the Montville Animal Shelter in New Jersey, USA, was first adopted by a family who apparently loved him dearly, but were brought back after his guardians’ son became allergic to him.

With the second adoption everything seemed perfect, a single mother was looking for a companion for herself and her daughter. At first, the two were happy about the arrival of the kitten, after all he was their first pet.

The problem is that she was working at home and Bruno wanted a lot of affection, which took away her attention. The governess also complained that the cat wanted to sleep with her daughter, so she stayed up late. So after a week in his new home he was brought back to the shelter.

Saddened by Bruno’s rejection, the shelter team decided to share the cat’s sad story on their Facebook profile.

“Sad news: Bruno is back after just a week! The family had never had a cat and they said he was very affectionate and always wanted to sit on their laps, follow them and kiss them. He was also very playful (…). So if someone is looking for an affectionate cat, then they are the right one!

Along with the release, the shelter included two pictures of the poor looking kitten lying on a bed. Social network users were quickly moved by the kitten’s story, and the post received more than 1,700 likes and 1,400 shares.

In the comments, one person tweeted: “Wait honey your forever home is out there. You deserve the best.’ Another commented on Bruno’s demeanor: “Ah he just wants love!” he wrote.

Then many people volunteered to provide the cat with a permanent home, and finally a perfect couple appeared.

Catherine and Andrew saw the mail and got in touch the next day. After agreeing on the adoption, they picked Bruno up at the shelter. Catherine said that when Bruno saw her, “basically crawled on her neck and was ‘really excited’ to go.”

The owners said Bruno has adjusted well after initially feeling a little nervous in his new surroundings.

Exciting, isn’t it? May you be very happy!
