I belong to that slightly masochistic generation that cried a lot while watching their favorite shows… shows that often feature animals, and that deal with injustice, poverty, exclusion and cruelty. In short, very light subjects, very light!
What are your fondest TV memories from your childhood?
I can still remember looking forward to Saturday mornings, looking forward to snuggling with my cat, wrapped in an electric blanket, on the living room couch and watching all my favorite shows. A sacred ritual.
Did you watch a lot of TV as a kid?

Yes still. Yes, for my favorite cartoons, but also for all the soap operas my parents watched. Tit for tat, Des dames de coeur, Le patrimoine, Le temps d’une paix, Never two without you… The television we watched was only in French and almost entirely from Quebec.

Any universe that makes you forget everyday life, that allows you to dream, fantasize, travel and develop your imagination.
What do you think of today’s youth television?
I find that today’s children are aging too quickly and are exposed to programs at a very young age that are not necessarily intended for them. I’m speaking a little from experience, about my own children [ses fils Milan et Ludovic, NDRL]. Especially for small children there is still very good television. But I’m a little nostalgic for Canal Famille and VRAK TV. Nostalgic memories of the emissions exploded for the teenagers.
