CCXP: Fans Have Difficulty Attending Geek Fair Splash

Matheus brought his girlfriend Suzy Santos, 20, who was visiting for the first time and confessed to being amazed by the event. “I came to follow him and learn his world, but I love it. It’s crazy, everything is really cool, so many people dressed up. I have fun.”

Although Brazil is a country of continental proportions, the distance between states is not always the only obstacle for fans wanting to attend the fair. The long queues for the activations and the crowds in the pavilion cause problems for those who managed to get a ticket.

Felipe Santana, 31, says CCXP 23 is his favorite place to pursue his passion for cosplay. After attending four editions of the event, he collects stories related to the themed clothing. “Something always comes up along the way and we have to improvise. The worst thing in my case was the stomach pain I got while I was here. The toilet was very far away and I was wearing a cosplay that was difficult to take off. “But it all worked very well.”

For Accountant Diego Wolf, 36, the event is about the friendships made in the geek community. “For those of us who do cosplay, it’s really cool. The bonds we build with the people here motivate us to come back because the people are really cool. Every year we get together to get together and I hardly see any other attractions.”
