Jamie Oliver has announced he will be coming to Australia to present a talk at the Sydney Opera House.

The British restaurateur, 48, announced he will be speaking on all things food and health alongside MasterChef judge Melissa Leong on Saturday November 11.

He also revealed in a lengthy post on Instagram Thursday that he will be “telling his story” about the first-ever BBC TV series he took part in.

“Australia, I’m coming for you!” Join me in conversation with the amazing Melissa Leong at the Sydney Opera House on Saturday 11 November! he wrote.

“I’m sharing my story from the beginnings of Naked Chef to how I continue to help you all cook fresh and delicious food from scratch!”

He continued, “And I will of course talk about why I will always fight to keep children’s health at the top of the agenda.”

Ticket prices for the lecture event start at $49, with premium seats costing $89.

This comes after Jamie appeared as a guest judge alongside Melissa, 41, in this year’s MasterChef season.

The TV star also joined judges Andy Allen and the late Jock Zonfrillo in the new season titled MasterChef: Secrets and Surprises.

The news broke on MasterChef Australia’s official site in April ahead of the show’s May 1 premiere.

“I am delighted to be back in the MasterChef Australia kitchen and honored to open the new season of Secrets & Surprises alongside Jock, Andy and Mel,” Jamie said in a statement at the time.

He added: “I want to give the participants some little advice, some techniques and most importantly some thoughts that might help them navigate some of the big moments that lie ahead.”

Jamie previously appeared on the show in 2012.

He is known for his love of British and Italian cuisine, his cooking shows and cookbooks.

The Essex native is reported to have a net worth in excess of £240million.
