Well-heeled celebs are following in Camilla’s footsteps by snapping up the Queen Consort’s favorite bunion busters – but with 5 inch platforms
They’re the Queen Consort’s favorite shoes – comfortable hallux-busters that British manufacturer Sole Bliss claims she’s worn more than 80 times.
And now a host of celebrities are following in Camilla’s footsteps, albeit with a more glamorous twist.
Instead of Queen Consort’s most popular Valencia pumps, A-listers including Oscar winner Olivia Colman have worn the brand’s shoes – with 5-inch platform heels.
As Ms Colman, 49, walked the red carpet at the premiere of upcoming BBC series Great Expectations on Tuesday, she paired her navy lace vampire woman dress with a silver Louboutin clutch. But a pair of £199 heels peeked out from the hem of the sequined dress.
She certainly seemed more comfortable than she was then, as she was photographed by The Mail on Sunday at the 2021 premiere of her film The Lost Daughter, barefoot and in her £895 Jimmy Choo stiletto heels.

Her stylist Miranda Almond also seems to have spotted the 5-inch Remy platform shoes, which come in six colors — including Ms Colman’s silver suede and snakeskin.
Sole Bliss claims its shoes contour around balls, as well as cushioned soles, wide widths, and deeper toe boxes to support the arch of the foot. They also contain a device to prevent pronation – the rolling of the feet inwards.
Actress Julia Roberts wore gold Remy platforms to the premiere of the film Ticket To Paradise in October. The shoes were apparently so comfortable that she wore them again to the Critics’ Choice Awards in January.
Since then, Countryside host Anita Rani and actress Viola Davies both wore them to last month’s Baftas. and Dame Helen Mirren wore a pair to the premiere of their film Shazam! this month in Rome.

“It’s incredibly exciting to see so many celebrities wearing our platform shoes,” said Sole Bliss founder and designer Lisa Kay.
“I believe that all women deserve beautiful shoes, whether their feet suffer or not.”
podiatrist dr Brad Schaeffer from the TV show My Feet Are Killing Me said: “When it comes to wearing heels, there are certain things you need to look out for to protect your feet.
“Look for shoes with a wide toe box, arch support, a supportive footbed, and plenty of underfoot cushioning. These shoes tick all of those boxes.”
