(CNN) – Singer Celine Dion was spotted at a hockey game in Las Vegas on Monday, making a rare public appearance.
According to media reports, the NHL game was his first public appearance in more than three years.
Last year, the Canadian singer postponed several tour dates after she was diagnosed with stiff person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that affects the nervous system and causes convulsions.
“My kids and I had a great time visiting the Montreal Canadiens after their hockey game against the Vegas Golden Knights in Las Vegas on Monday night,” the 55-year-old star posted on Instagram on Thursday.

When Dion visited the Canadian team after the game, she shared photos of herself and her three children in the locker room with Canadiens head coach Martin St-Louis and several players.
A video posted to the Montreal Canadiens’ Instagram page shows the “My Heart Will Go On” singer laughing and joking with players after congratulating them on a good game.
“I remember when you were 14 you sang for the Pope. ‘Une Colombe,'” St-Louis said in French, referring to a visit by Pope John Paul II to Canada in 1984.
“Well, it’s been a while, hasn’t it? … We’ve changed a little since then, but not that much,” she jokes in French.
“We’ve aged well,” St-Louis replied, laughing.
The singer spoke to some players after shaking their hands firmly and imparted some wisdom.
“Just stay healthy, stay strong, that’s okay,” he said, adding, “Do what you do best.”
In the caption of her Instagram post, Dion thanked the team for the “memorable” reunion and signed off with, “A great season! – Celine xx…”
