Celine Dion reveals diagnosis of rare neurological condition and postpones shows

Taking to Instagram, Celine Dion, 54, said she’s been struggling with some health issues for a while. In a Thursday post, the singer gave more details about her situation and postponed some shows to 2024.

“I’ve been dealing with health issues for a long time and it’s been very difficult for me to face these challenges and talk about everything I’m going through,” he began.

In the video, the star clarified that she has been diagnosed with a rare neurological condition, which is at the root of the spasms she’s feeling.

“I was diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder called Rigid Person Syndrome. [ou síndrome de stiff person], which affects 1 in a million people. While we’re still learning about this rare condition, we now know that this is the cause of all the cramps I’ve had.”

Given the situation, Celine Dion said she had to postpone shows scheduled for earlier this year. He also emphasized that from now on he would count on the support of doctors and their children who would have helped.

“It pains me to tell you today that this means I will not be ready to resume my European tour in February. I have an amazing team of doctors working alongside me to help me get better and my precious children supporting and helping me,” he added.

Still, Celine Dion said she’s looking forward to the moment to take to the stage and speak to fans in person. Now the singer reiterated that she will take care of her health so that she can sing again.
