According to the Sûreté du Québec, the suspects are suspected of breaking into the store on Principale Street in this small community, 30 km from Drummondville, just before 6am on Wednesday.
Unfortunately, the landlord, who lives in an adjacent apartment, heard a noise and moved in, catching her in the act.
According to spokesman Louis-Philippe Ruel, the intruders responded by pushing him without injuring him and then fled.
However, the police, informed of this robbery, were able to get a good description of the suspect’s vehicle, which allowed the latter to be successfully intercepted and arrested on Highway 20 in the ensuing minutes.
The alleged perpetrators in this case were due to be met by investigators later in the day.
