The words of CF Montreal head coach Hernan Losada will not reassure the club’s fans.
On Thursday, the Argentine was asked about the pressure on his team as they try to secure a place in the Major League Soccer (MLS) qualifiers.

“There is no pressure because no one believes we will make the playoffs. So we are in a situation that no one or few people could have imagined,” he replied, clarifying that the players, staff and fans were not among those who did not believe in it.
“The outside world doesn’t believe we can qualify for the playoffs,” Losada added. What is pressure? There is pressure on all teams that have invested millions [de dollars] to win the championship. It’s up to them to make it to the playoffs and withstand the pressure. It’s not ours. We will play and try to do as much as possible.
“At the end of the season we can also say that we gave everything. There will be nothing to say and we will stay together until the end.”
CF Montreal sits in eighth place in the MLS Eastern Conference today with a record of 11-4-15 and 37 points.
In the Garber circuit, the teams that complete the regular season in the eighth and ninth divisions of their association play a play-off game for a place in the playoffs.
CF Montreal will play its next game this Saturday. The Bleu-Blanc-Noir will visit Orlando City FC.
