Defensive backs Kabion Ento and Reggie Stubblefield stand out for the Sparrows. The former managed 43 tackles, two interceptions and one touchdown. The second totaled 40 tackles, three sacks, two interceptions and a forced fumble.

The nominees also include Quebecers Tysen-Otis Copeland (defender) and David Dallaire (centre defender). They are, respectively, products of the Carabins of the University of Montreal and the Rouge et Or of the University of Laval.

The other Alouettes players in the running are receivers Keshunn Abram and Quartney Davis, defensive lineman Israel Antwine, linebacker Bryce Notree and defensive back Kordell Rodgers.

With two games left in their season, the Alouettes have already secured their ticket to the playoffs. If they win against the Elks in Edmonton on Saturday, they will be guaranteed a place in the East Division semifinals at Percival-Molson Stadium.
