Harvey-Pinard appeared to be in poor condition after he fell heavily against the ramp following contact with Josh Brown in the first period. At the start of the next period, the Saguenay native got his left leg stuck between the boards and Troy Stecher as he tried to avoid a check from the latter. He returned to the bench with difficulty and eventually left the game.
The 24-year-old striker played in the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge front row alongside Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki. He was replaced by Sean Monahan for the remainder of the matchup against the Yotes.
Additionally, head coach Martin St-Louis hinted in his Friday press conference that forward Christian Dvorak could take the place of “RHP” in his practice for Saturday’s game against the Blues in St-Louis. Louis. See Martin St-Louis’ press conference above.
It would be the 27-year-old center’s first game this season. He suffered from an injury to his right knee.
Back to Harvey-Pinard: He has collected four assists in ten games so far in 2023-2024. The former Quebec Major Junior Hockey League player established himself with the Canadiens in the second half of last season, scoring 14 goals and six assists for 20 points in 34 games.
St-Louis also announced that goalkeeper Samuel Montembeault will start against the Blues. The CH pilot was also asked about the possibility of sending striker Juraj Slafkovsky to the American League with the Laval Rocket. He responded that this was not an option being considered by the organization.
