At the end of the song “These Are the Ways,” Smith became agitated and broke the drum kit he was playing. A video published by Leandro Vaiano (see below) chronicles the exact occasion of the American instrumentalist’s “Keith Moon Moment.”

When Rafael Hidalgo discussed the episode in a post on Instagram this Friday (10), Chad remembered what he had done and offered to pay for a new battery for the Brazilian. In the comments section of the post, the Chili Peppers member said:

“Dude, I owe you a drum kit!” Or overalls. I’m sorry… I went a bit overboard. Thank you and your band for playing our songs. It is a honor.”

Hidalgo, who isn’t stupid or anything especially because the drums belong to the concert hall and not to him replied:

“I accept tickets for tonight [risos]. Any chance?”

The interaction in the comments section can be viewed here. Leandro Vaiano’s video of Chad destroying the drums at Stones Music Bar is available below in two versions: the “summary” only and the full song.

Chad Smith and Heavy Glow in São Paulo

Heavy Glow even posted a public invitation on Instagram for Chad Smith to appear at Stones Music Bar, where they would be performing. Somehow the American musician who is playing with the Chili Peppers at the Morumbi Stadium this Friday (10) found out and actually went there.

Smith’s “Soup” apparently consisted of three songs. Videos show him playing an excerpt from “She” (Kiss), “Higher Ground” (Stevie Wonder), “These Are the Ways” and even “Aeroplane,” a song from the album “One Hot Minute.” (1995). ), which wasn’t, is performed by Red Hot with John Frusciante, their current and bestknown guitarist.

It’s worth noting that Chad Smith had already surprised fans with other “random tours” in the country. He performed as Legião Urbana in a bar in Rio de Janeiro and attended a show by country duo Jorge and Mateus in a nightclub in São Paulo.

Other strange situations involving members of the Chili Peppers in Brazil involved Anthony Kiedis and Flea, both in Rio de Janeiro. The singer visited tourist attractions, interacted with fans at the hotel and even stopped to listen a chorus of the song “The Heavy Wing” by admirers. In the meantime, Flea is said to have reported shaved his hair and threw the wires out the window.
