The story surrounding Chad Smith’s participation in a Red Hot Chili Peppers cover band show in São Paulo gets better with every detail revealed. As we previously reported, last Thursday evening (9) he took the stage at Stones Music Bar for a “chicken” alongside the Heavy Glow tribute, consisting of local musicians Lucas Neves (vocals), Alexis Bracali (bass) and Felipe Freitas (guitar). ) and Rafael Hidalgo (drums).

Chad Smith and Heavy Glow in São Paulo
Heavy Glow even posted a public invitation on Instagram for Chad Smith to appear at Stones Music Bar, where they would be performing. Somehow the American musician who is playing with the Chili Peppers at the Morumbi Stadium this Friday (10) found out and actually went there.
Smith’s “Soup” apparently consisted of three songs. Videos show him playing an excerpt from “She” (Kiss), “Higher Ground” (Stevie Wonder), “These Are the Ways” and even “Aeroplane,” a song from the album “One Hot Minute.” (1995). ), which wasn’t, is performed by Red Hot with John Frusciante, their current and bestknown guitarist.

Red Hot Chili Peppers in Brazil
Red Hot Chili Peppers continue to tour and promote two albums released in 2022 “Unlimited Love” and “Return of the Dream Canteen”.
The group began their tour of Brazil last Saturday (4) at the Nilton Santos Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. The musicians then traveled to Brasília, where they played on Tuesday (7). Performances are now planned in São Paulo (November 10th), Curitiba (November 13th) and Porto Alegre (November 16th).
This is Red Hot’s tenth national tour, previously held in 1993, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2011, 2013, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
