The Chambers of Commerce of Cuba and Madrid signed an agreement this Monday to exchange information and assistance in the fields of tourism, commerce and services.
According to Prensa Latina, the agreement was signed by Antonio Carricarte, president of the Cuban institution, and Ángel Asensio, head of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services.
This alliance gave rise to the Economic Forum “Cuba: Market Perspectives and Challenges” in Madrid, a space dedicated to presenting the business opportunities and challenges of the Cuban market.

It is also “an x-ray of the Caribbean country’s business environment, wholesale investment opportunities, priority projects or foreign investment in the food industry,” the Madrid Chamber of Commerce told the agency.
“Cuba is a country with a very active foreign policy,” the first vice-president of the Madrid Chamber, Eva Serrano, told 20 minutes.
And he added that in recent years the island has stepped up business with both its traditional partners and the rest of the international community. He also recognized that the European Union remained Cuba’s main commercial export partner.
According to Serrano, it will then be a “friendly relationship” that will be promoted after the political dialogue and cooperation agreement between Spain and Cuba agreed in 2015 and signed in 2019.
Carricarte pointed out that Spain is Cuba’s third largest trading partner, fourth in tourism and the first foreign investor, and has 256 commercial missions.
“The Cuban Chamber asks Spanish businessmen for support in promoting renewable energies, highlighting bioelectricity, wind, solar photovoltaic and heat exchanger printed circuits,” said the manager.
Finally, he invited the Spanish business community to promote tourism through the construction and marketing of hotel capacities, theme and marine parks, the development of spas and the promotion of agriculture with pork and chicken meat, animal feed, fruit, vegetables, agribusiness, etc coffee production.
