Champions League quarter draw when and where to watch

UEFA celebrates the draw for the quarter-finals of the Champions League this Friday in Nyon (Switzerland). Eight teams take part in a pure and unconditional draw in which Real Madrid are the only Spanish representatives and will defend their status as current champions. The four qualifiers will be played on April 11th and 12th (first leg) and on April 18th and 19th (second leg) of the same month.

This year, the draw for the quarterfinals will make its way to the grand finals in Istanbul. In other words, all teams know both their quarter-final rivals and their possible semi-final clash, as well as the clubs that will only meet in the hypothetical final on June 10th. Since this is a pure draw, teams from the same country can meet, which couldn’t happen in the group stage or round of 16.

The eight teams qualified for the 2022-2023 Champions League quarter-final draw are Chelsea, Benfica, Bayern, Milan, Manchester City, Inter, Real Madrid and Napoli. Italy has three representatives, which has not happened since 2006. England provide two teams, while Spain, Germany and Portugal contribute one club.

Schedule and TV to see the draw

The 2022-23 Champions League quarter-final draw will take place this Friday 17 March from 12:00 at UEFA headquarters in Nyon. It can be seen on live TV via #Vamos and Movistar Liga de Campeones (both channels on the Movistar Plus platform). Openly, it can also be followed through the UEFA website and the GOL Play channel.
