Chaos at Airport: Qantas Asks Executives to Sort Baggage

(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 08 – The shortage of ground staff wreaking havoc at airports around the world is prompting Qantas to ask its executives to work as baggage handlers for three months. The Australian group is looking for at least 100 volunteers to work at Sydney and Melbourne airports, the BBC writes online.

Duties include loading and unloading luggage and driving vehicles to move luggage around airports.

In the announcement, Qantas clarified that applicants must be able to lift and move suitcases weighing up to 32 kg.
