CHAOS erupts at celebrity trainer Tracy Andersons exclusive Hamptons studios

‘CHAOS’ erupts at celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson’s exclusive Hamptons studios as wealthy clients grapple with ‘overpriced’ $5,500 MAT fees, staggering $6,000 ‘detox week’ and status-obsessed ‘ annoy queen bees”.

Tracy Anderson has spent more than 20 years building her celebrity client list, which includes Gwyneth Paltrow, J-Lo and Madonna, among others – yet her A-list-recognized empire is now shining through bitter allegations that her Hamptons studio has become in a “chaotic mess” resolved.

The 47-year-old has attracted the wealthiest of members by opening studios in Los Angeles, New York and Madrid – with TA memberships becoming something of a ‘status symbol’ for themselves.

But it looks like the tide may be turning for her popularity as she now faces the wrath of her clients in upscale New York City weekend spot The Hamptons over $5,500 mat fees, $90 tuition and power struggles, according to an Insider report “Queen Bees” faced.

It’s not the first time Anderson has been hit by controversy in recent months after her former employees exposed the toxic culture of paranoia, legal threats and grueling working conditions.

Over the past two decades, Tracy Anderson’s name has become synonymous with fitness and well-being among society’s elite.

Clients who enroll in both the Prestige and the Training pay $900 a month to learn their Tracy Anderson Method — dance-based training in a room heated to 95 degrees and 75 percent humidity.

But supporters at both of its Hamptons locations — the Sag Harbor and Water Mill studios — told insiders that the studios had “turned into a chaotic, overpriced mess.”

And their biggest criticism seems to be the skyrocketing prices.

For example, in addition to the high monthly membership fees, there’s also a fee to reserve a mat for the summer—which basically allows people to reserve their favorite spots in class.

The publication states that the price was a whopping $3,000 in 2018 but has risen to a whopping $5,500 since this year.

Anderson was also interested in promoting her “Vitality Week” at Sag Harbor, which will be held August 17-21 this year.

It promises everything “from specialty classes and lectures with Tracy to a summer soiree under the stars.”

But the $5,995 price tag makes potential customers shy away — especially since it’s more than triple the cost for the same event in 2012, then called Hamptons Detox Week.

Dani Levi, who works as a makeup artist and is a TA member in the Hamptons, told the outlet, “It’s a little bit ridiculous.”

Additionally, the type of affluent clientele that Anderson’s studio attracts has also fueled favoritism and power struggles.

A former Hamptons coach told Insider, “They’re queen bees in Tribeca from September through May, but when they’re shuffled together the dynamic changes.”

“That’s the point of the whole thing: power and ‘I’ve got money’ and ‘Do you know who I am? Do you know where I live?”

Reportedly, much of the tension arises between longtime members who feel “entitled” and younger non-members who take impromptu classes.

Anderson charges up to $90 per 55-minute drop-in session at the prestigious locations, which is much more expensive than its closest competitors.

Before the summer season began, the Hamptons studio manager left and has yet to be replaced – leaving no one’s finger on the pulse.

FEMAIL has reached out to a Tracy Anderson representative for comment.

The latest claims come just months after former employees began speaking out about what went on behind closed doors, revealing a bombastic tale of legal threats, paranoia and grueling working conditions.

A former staffer claimed that Anderson was paralyzed with fear that someone “smarter and better” would steal her belongings and launched a lawsuit against a handful of ex-coaches, who they branded “second-rate copycats.”

Another source said their bodies were being pushed to the limit by the intensity required by the staff and the heat in the studios also left them “exhausted and dehydrated”.
