Charles Oliveira wants to be the opponent of GSP

Charles Oliveira wants to be the opponent of “GSP”.

Charles Oliveira would like to be Georges St-Pierre’s opponent when he returns to the Octagon for a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fight on December 14th.

Fighters will be crowding the gates for the chance to face the Quebec mixed martial arts legend. Oliveira decided to extend the invitation during an episode of the “Trocação Franca” podcast.

“I would really like to have the opportunity to fight with St-Pierre, it would be a great honor,” said the 33-year-old athlete. I admire and respect him enormously. We have already met and taken a photo. He told me he watched me fight, so that would be great.”

Oliveira, who competes in the lightweight division, will fight for Islam Makhachev’s title in a rematch on October 21 in Abu Dhabi. With 16 wins by submission, he is one of the best on the field in Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) history.

“Whether it is so [St-Pierre] “One or the other would be great for me because it’s good for the momentum,” Oliveira said of exhibition jiu-jitsu fights. I like to stay active. Like I said, it would be great to do it against St-Pierre.”

The Brazilian has a record of 34 wins and nine losses in mixed martial arts.

“GSP” retired in 2017 after winning the welterweight title over Michael Bisping. The 42-year-old has not yet given any information about his future opponent at the UFC Fight Pass Invitational.
