The 37-year-old singer revealed she was able to sit two of her GCSEs at the White House and was even given a cup of tea by a proctor during her exams.
Shortly before taking her exams in Washington DC, Charlotte performed at the inauguration of President George Bush in 2001 at the age of 15.
Speaking to hosts Craig Doyle, 52, and Alison Hammond, 48, Charlotte said: “I think I sat two GCSEs in the White House.”

Two years before her White House performance, Charlotte sang “Amazing Grace” for President Bill Clinton in 1999.
Charlotte became famous as a classical singer in her childhood before turning to pop music in 2005. By 2007, the singer had sold more than ten million records worldwide.
Her musical career began when she was just 11 years old after she sang Andrew Lloyd Webber’s song “Pie Jesu” on This Morning in 1997.
Craig said: “At this time of year, many, many moons ago, I did an interview for the first time. You were on Fifth Avenue and you were a baby and you just led the Macy’s Thanksgiving/Christmas parade.
“You just looked so young and you had this enormous thing going on and I remember thinking about how this young mind does it!”
Charlotte added: “I was about 14 and in the right 14-year-old mood. “I was just grumpy and had to put on a face. But I also got to sing with Usher that day. I sang “Silent Night” with Usher.
This comes after she recently spoke about the “core renovation” of her £1.5million wellness resort in Wales and her plans for the project.
Last month, Charlotte finally opened her green retreat after overcoming construction problems and winning a series of planning battles to transform the property.
She transformed Laura Ashley’s former home in Elan Valley into a feel-good retreat, complete with a “womb room” and vaginal showers.
Now Charlotte has spoken about the process of transforming the home and her plans for moving back now that she’s finally opened the doors.
In the latest episode of Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett’s Dish podcast, Charlotte shared how she transformed the property into a “green retreat.”

She explained how the retreat, called The Dreaming, draws its electricity from a watermill and has a water heat pump to produce hot water.
She said of the location: “We’re flanked on either side by two waterfalls.” One of them has a watermill, so we get a lot of our electricity from the watermill in Elan Valley, which is in the Cambrian Mountains.
“And it’s just like, oh, it’s so beautiful.” I love it so much. I’ve been renovating it for the last two years, which has been hard. But amazing.
“Like I just have to be really creative and just put all my creativity into something that’s so different than, you know, music or anything that I generally think of as being creative, I guess.”
Charlotte continued to talk about her own role in The Dreaming, saying she plans to work as a “sound healer,” which means “singing for the country.”
The former pop star said: “I’m a sound healer now, so I do stuff at The Dreaming that’s really about figuring out how sound can be used to heal, how voice can be used to heal.”‘
“I want to try to combine this idea of music and healing, voice and healing with this joy and ecstasy,” she added.
Speaking about what people can expect when they come to the retreat, Charlotte said that people “pick and choose the activities” they do to find out what their body needs.
She continued: “Everything should be to your liking, it’s like a buffet.” You pick and choose. When you get there, you sink into your body and start to really feel: What does your body need? What do I want to do?

“Some people just need complete rest because their nervous system is burnt out, others need to go exploring and be truly enchanted by nature and almost return to childlike wonder and awe.”
“So it’s about nature connection, sound healing – I practice there and do sound journeys and sing into the land.”
“And the third pillar of that is ceremonies in the sense of similar rituals and lifestyles, living very close to the land and really seasonal.”
When discussing why she decided to organize the retreat, Charlotte said she has been an activist for years and wanted to incorporate her “values” into her work projects.
She said: “I really care about the future and the future of the planet, you know, I really believe that we can change things, and so I wanted to be involved in projects and start projects, which is in line with my values really.” , and live my activism.
“We have a water heat pump and a water mill and we are going to do a huge food growing project.”
“So this year we will have about one and a half hectares of land to grow food on, and then in the next two or three years that will grow to about three or four hectares.”
In addition to her plans for a food growing project, Charlotte said she could forage for food in the 80,000 acres of forest surrounding The Dreaming.
The Voice Of An Angel hitmaker said she priced the retreat on a “sliding scale” so it wasn’t too far out of people’s price range.
She said, “We have a tiered price range and a pay-what-you-can system.” So that there is as much as you can fit into each retreat, because I – you know, everyone has problems, so I want to “To make sure we’re not too nervous.”
Retreats start at £450 for three days, but “to ensure access for people of all means, The Dreaming offers a pay-what-you-can spot on each three-day retreat.”
Charlotte is the owner of The Dreaming, which is located in the Elan Valley in Cwmdauddwr, Powys and was once owned by fashion legend Laura Ashley.
To open the spacious retreat, Charlotte overcame a number of planning difficulties and construction problems.
Major environmental and planning experts have raised particular concerns about their plans to treat and dispose of waste from four proposed log cabins, with the council’s ecology department warning of the failings of many “private wastewater treatment systems”.
Additionally, their local council rejected the withdrawal plans last December, fearing it could pose an “unacceptable risk” to drivers.
A spokesperson said of the resort: “The Dreaming offers an escape from the complexities of modern life; They reconnect people with the land, with themselves and with their travels.”
The property’s transformation into a green retreat was featured in a documentary series on the Discovery Channel – and is now finally open to guests.
The retreats last three days and take place on the weekend (The Journeyer) and midweek (The Nurturer). During their stay, guests are offered a wide range of wellness activities.
