Going into Survivor Series last night (Sat., Nov. 25, 2023) in Chicago, the story of the Women’s War Games match was largely about whether or not Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch would get along, and what what it could mean for their team if they couldn’t do it. In the end they didn’t dare and won the game.
It was a pretty cool moment.
When asked about their history and future at the post-show press conference, both became emotional:
Becky: “I think that’s a good point. We’ve written a lot of history individually, but I think the most history we’ve written we’ve written together, and probably the best story we’ve ever written.”
Charlotte: “I just think we bring out the best in each other. When we hugged at the same time tonight, you could feel that electricity. Without her I wouldn’t be where I am today and without me she wouldn’t be where she is. So I think that just never goes away.”
It’s only been a few years since we started seeing reports of arguments between the two behind the scenes and allegations of gunfire in the ring during some segments. Now they’re back and looking better than ever.
Maybe a run in the tag team division beckons?
