Chay Suede spoke about the criticism of Jade Picon, who made her acting debut on the soap opera Travessia this Monday (10/10). The actor who is dating the digital influencer in the new Plot of Nine opened up about the affair during a press conference.
On this occasion, the artist recalled the beginning of his career, when he first took part in the Ídolos program in 2010 and was invited by Record to star in the remake of Rebelde (2011). At that time he had never traded.
“When I got the invitation to play ‘Rebelde’ I had no idea what an actor does. Of course, I knew there was an actor playing a role, but I had no idea how the work dynamics worked, how the craft worked, what things I had to learn and relearn every day,” said Chay, citing the case of Jade Picon: “The world was different. 12 years, but a lot has changed. The internet was different, the kind of exposure we took was different,” he explained.
“So I had to take revenge for not being an actor, but not to that extent. In fact, I’ve been waiting for them to remember because I wasn’t actually an actor, it was an invitation, and it was through that first opportunity that I discovered my profession,” Chay said. He explained that he developed a love for acting after starring in his first soap opera: “If it happened to me, it can happen to a lot of other people,” he pointed out.
