Jade Cargill, Natalya and many more WWE stars reacted today to a surprise release that took place at the company on Friday.



The promotion merged with UFC parent company Endeavor in September. As a result of the merger, many NXT and main roster superstars were released. In addition, more than 100 background employees were laid off, and that number has increased today.

Today it was reported that the promotion laid off several more employees from the company today. One of the stars fired was NXT interviewer McKenzie Mitchell. Her husband, NXT commentator Vic Joseph, shared a touching message today after his wife left the company.



McKenzie Mitchell announced her departure from the company on social media today and thanked everyone for their support.

Jade Cargill, Natalya, Indi Hartwell, Matt Cardona, Chelsea Green and many more stars reacted to her post on social media. Everyone wished Mitchell well and Matt Cardona jokingly welcomed him to the published stars club, as seen in the image below.

McKenzie Mitchell is well-liked by her WWE colleagues, as evidenced by the messages she received following her release. It will be interesting to see if she gets another chance as an interviewer in the world of professional wrestling in the future.

Triple H comments on Jade Cargill’s future in WWE

Jade Cargill debuted for the promotion during the WWE Fastlane Kickoff Show in October.

At the post-Survivor Series press conference last Saturday night, Triple H commented on Cargill’s future. He noted that he wants to make sure she is prepared for whatever comes her way before appearing regularly on WWE television.

“When she came in we talked about her development and where she would end up. I want to make sure Jade Cargill is ready for whatever they throw at her. And it’s not her fault, I think she was limited in that, right? So the idea is that we exposed her, we showed her that…people understand that they’re waiting and excited for her to come, and when she comes it’s going to be huge,” Triple H said.
