The invitation-only soiree was also attended by celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Julia Garner and the members of Green Day.
Davis spoke about the legendary soirée in an interview with Variety on Thursday.
“We don't discuss performances because the whole thing is a surprise.” But in the audience it will be [Motown founder] Berry Gordy and Diana Ross and Jay-Z and Beyoncé and Bon Jovi as well as newer artists like SZA, Ice Spice, Noah Kahan and [basketball great] Scottie Pippen and [tennis superstars] Martina Navratilova and Serena Williams.
“I think it will be the 24th or 25th year in a row for Nancy Pelosi. 'It's a unique audience.'
He added: “We're here for the party, so obviously there's a lot on my mind at the moment.”
“People fly in from all over the world and we hope to meet and perhaps even exceed their expectations.” This is a big challenge. I'm taking it seriously and I'm excited.'

Cher's appearance comes days after a judge rejected her request for temporary guardianship of her 47-year-old son Elijah Blue Allman.
Judge Jessica A. Uzcategui ruled Monday that there was insufficient evidence that recovering addict Elijah could not care for himself and manage his own finances, which are currently held in trust – despite Cher's fears that he could die within a year , if it is not approved.
She said he showed no “lack of ability” to manage his own affairs. There is “no urgency,” she added.
The court heard Elijah Blue is currently “drug-free” and has rented an apartment to live in.
The news was a huge blow to the 77-year-old superstar singer and Best Actress Oscar winner.
Sounding dejected, as if she were reading “My name is Cher” from a teleprompter, she introduced herself to the courtroom in Room 236, Department 5 of the Los Angeles Superior Court in downtown Los Angeles.
She appeared on the screen remotely via video transmission.
Cher had argued that Blue Elijah was unable to care for himself given severe substance abuse and mental health issues.
Cher sat stoically, unsmiling, upright on a cream sofa with beige curtains behind her, wearing a simple black jacket with a white top underneath.
Her flawless raven black hair was wavy and long, reaching to her chest.
Elijah Blue appeared in court in a black suit with his wife Marieangela King, 36. Neither he nor Cher smiled at each other.
King, 36, had previously said that Cher was “categorically unsuitable” to serve as head of a conservatory board, even if one were implemented, according to court documents.
King said she has known Cher for more than a decade; and that the Moonstruck actress “doesn’t drive, cook her own food, or dress herself.”
Cher's attorney Gabrielle Vidal – chair of the conservatorship practice at the law firm Loeb & Loeb – told the court that despite his recent sobriety, Elijah Blue still suffers from “periods of psychosis.”

A temporary guardianship is needed to protect “the assets,” Vidal said, adding: “Cher fears that her son will no longer be alive within a year.”
Elijah Blue, Vidal said, was subdivided 5,150 times “multiple times in the last calendar year.”
A Section 5150 is the number of the section of the Welfare and Institutions Code that allows an adult experiencing a mental health crisis to be involuntarily detained for a 72-hour psychiatric hospitalization if he or she is considered a threat to himself or others becomes.
Elijah Blue, Vidal explained, is currently being treated by “a non-medical doctor.”
“Periods of stress lead to psychosis,” she said. “He was a drug addict in the past.
“Mental illness makes Mr. Allman vulnerable. “People around him deny psychosis.”
Although “she praises his efforts,” medical experts told Cher “that if she didn't take this step (a conservatorship) like his mother, he would end up on the streets again.”
“This is not about Cher wanting to control Elijah or his money.
“We believe there is urgency.” Elijah Blue's history of substance abuse and mental health issues are “separate but connected.”
If the funds from his trust “go directly into his hands, they could be misused.”
After the sentencing outside court, Elijah Blue's attorney, Steven Bremer, said, “Elijah is thrilled that the court has determined that he does not require a temporary conservatorship.”
He is grateful to his fans, friends and other members of the recovery community for their support.”
Another hearing is scheduled for March 6.
Last week, Elijah Blue told the court that he has been sober and financially responsible in paying his bills and has taken administrative steps to manage the quarterly payments he receives from his late father's foundation, TMZ reported after review of the court documents.
King previously said in court documents that Cher personally told her that she was “manic depressive.”
In court filings, King repeated her claims that Cher attempted to kidnap Elijah Blue in the fall of 2022 to send him to a rehab facility; Cher has denied the allegations.
King told the court at an earlier hearing that Elijah Blue was taken to Rosarito, Mexico, and left in a “makeshift prison-like facility called Baja Rehab, where he was held against his will.”
King said that Elijah Blue was told by a doctor that he would “undertake holistic alternative therapy” during his stay at the facility, the outlet reported, citing court documents.

Last month, Cher filed court papers to place her adult son Elijah Blue Allman under conservatorship, saying he is a drug addict. Pictured in Germany in November 2023
King said she has known Cher for more than a decade; and that the Moonstruck actress “does not drive, prepare her own food, or dress herself,” TMZ reported, citing court documents
King said Elijah Blue was “held captive” at the facility for two months – in a situation “arranged by his mother” – until Mexican government officials escorted him from the facility and transported him to the U.S. border.
Cher told the court in December that Elijah Blue was “practically unable to manage his own financial resources due to severe mental health issues and substance abuse.”
Elijah Blue is the son of Cher and the late rocker Gregg Allman, the artist of hits such as Ramblin' Man and Midnight Rider, who died in May 2017 at the age of 69.
Cher said Elijah receives regular payments from a trust set up by Allman and that she fears he will use his money to buy more medication instead of paying for essential expenses.
The “If I Could Turn Back Time” singer said that as Elijah's mother, she was best suited for the role of conservator and had received internal support from the family on the matter.
Cher said King was a destructive presence in his life and was hindering efforts to get him the help he needed for drug and mental health issues.
The Believe singer said in court documents that she failed to communicate effectively with Elijah about the important issue, The Blast reported last month.
Cher “was unable to discuss Elijah's preferences regarding the appointment of a temporary conservator due to Elijah's current mental and physical health issues,” her legal team said.
Lawyers claimed Elijah was “unable to formulate or express a preference regarding the appointment of a conservator to his estate.”
In legal documents, Cher said she was concerned that “any funds distributed to Elijah will immediately be spent on drugs, leaving Elijah without assets to support himself and endangering Elijah's life.”
“Their turbulent relationship was marked by a cycle of drug addiction and mental health crises,” Cher said in court documents.
Cher said in legal documents that King “has not supported Elijah's recovery and … is actively working to prevent Elijah from getting clean and sober or receiving the mental health treatment he desperately needs.”
Cher said she is “informed and believes” that King was instrumental in “getting Elijah released from the treatment center where he received much-needed medical care.”
Cher said it would be “unsafe for Elijah and his estate” to give King any control over the conservatorship, saying that “doing so would result in the immediate loss or dissipation of Elijah's assets to self-destructive purposes.”
In October, Cher spoke to People about King's previous claims that Cher kidnapped Elijah, calling them “not true.”

She added: “I don't suffer from a problem that millions of people in the United States don't.” I am a mother. “That’s my job – one way or another: to try to help my children.”
Cher noted, “You do everything for your children.” Whenever you can help them, you just do it because that's what being a mother is.
“But there is joy even when you have heartache – when you think about your children, most of the time you just smile, love them and try to be there for them.”
Cher is also mother to 54-year-old son Chaz Bono from her marriage to the late Sonny Bono, who died in a skiing accident in South Lake Tahoe, California in January 1998.
