Cher said she would “leave” the United States if Donald Trump was re-elected president.

In a recent interview with the Guardian, the music icon said that the billionaire would leave the country if she returned to the Oval Office as president.
“Last time I almost had an ulcer. If he wins, who knows? This time I will leave (the country),” the 77-year-old singer said of the businessman’s first term, which ran between 2017 and 2021.
In her interview, the Believe singer also discussed anti-transgender laws passed in the United States.
“It’s about 500 bills that they want to pass,” Cher said. I was with two trans girls the other night and of course my own child (Chaz Bono, who is trans). I don’t know what their ultimate plan is for trans people. I expect everything from them.”

Cher has long supported the LGBTQ community. Her son Chaz, 54, from a relationship with her ex-husband Sonny Bono, began his transformation in the late 2000s.
The burlesque star is currently preparing to release a Christmas album titled Christmas.
The album, scheduled for release Friday, will span 13 tracks and feature guest artists including Stevie Wonder, Cyndi Lauper, Michael Bublé and Tyga, among others.
Cher promised that her upcoming album “doesn’t scream Christmas every second and isn’t full of songs whose names you know.”
The album’s first single, DJ Play a Christmas Song, was released this month.
