Cher drew backlash from her own daughter-in-law Marieangela King for filing for conservatorship of her son Elijah Blue Allman.

The musician's criticism came after the 77-year-old singer sued in Los Angeles Superior Court to become the sole conservator of her son's property.

The filing states: “Elijah is entitled to regular distributions from the trust, but given his ongoing mental health and substance abuse issues, Cher is concerned that any monies distributed to Elijah will immediately be spent on drugs.”

In a statement to Page Six, Elijah's estranged wife criticized Cher for “excluding her from making big decisions like this in the past.”

Her anger also comes after the Believe hitmaker fired Marieangela as a potential conservator because “her relationship with Elijah was one of a cycle of drug addiction and mental health crises.”

“I have always been committed to the sober community and to Elijah's sobriety…What I don't like is institutions that exclude me (his wife) from being a part of Elijah's treatment and hopeful recovery,” she said.

Marienangela, who married Elijah in 2013, further added: “I do not agree with pop-up schemes and unethical scams that take full advantage of families in desperate situations and attempt to fraudulently take advantage of insurance for services not provided.”
