Chevy Chase celebrated his 80th birthday with a fancy dinner in New York with his loved ones.
The comedian shared a video on his Instagram on Tuesday of his friends and family singing him happy birthday.
The SNL veteran was presented with a delicious-looking chocolate dessert with a candle, which he then blew out as his guests applauded.
Captioning the sweet video, Chevy wrote, “It’s 80. Thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes.”
He was joined by several of his close friends as well as his wife Jayni Luke and their daughters Cydney, 40, Caley, 38, Emily, 35, and their partners.

Jayni is Chevy’s third wife, whom he met on the set of Under The Rainbow in 1981 and married the following year.
He was previously married to Susan Hewitt and Jacqueline Carlin and also has a son named Bryan Perkins, 44, from a previous relationship.
Caley and Emily also took to their own Instagram posts to wish their famous dad a happy birthday with a slew of sweet snaps.
Caley wrote: “Happy birthday Dabby!!! I love you so much!! @chevychase The greatest dad ever!!!!
While Emily wrote: “Today the big Dab is 80 and what a bloody life he’s led.” From driving a cab in New York to hosting the Oscars multiple times, he’s done more and lived harder than anyone I know.
“At his core, he is deeply loving, empathetic and a hilarious pain in the ass. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Happy birthday to the best, squishiest, sweetest, most annoying dab there is. “My best friend!!’
The celebration comes after Chevy was embroiled in controversy again last month after calling his comeback performance “not funny enough” in the community.

The actor was fired from the critically acclaimed NBC sitcom 11 years ago for using the N-word in front of co-stars Yvette Nicole Brown and Donald Glover.
Chevy insisted he “didn’t mind the character he played – politically incorrect millionaire Pierce Hawthorne – but felt “happier when he was alone.”
Speaking to WTF podcast host Marc Maron, he said: “I just didn’t want to sit at that table with those people every day.” It was too much.
“I honestly felt like the show ultimately wasn’t funny enough for me.” I felt a little restricted.
“Everyone had their part, and I thought they were all good. “It just wasn’t hard enough for me.”
Creator Dan Harmon’s cult classic, set at a fictional community college in Colorado, also starred Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Ken Jeong and Jim Rash.
Chevy also harshly criticized the show where he got his start, Saturday Night Live, in a 2018 interview with The Washington Post.
He was one of the original cast members of the series in 1975, but was the first to leave the series in the middle of the second season.
Speaking up: The celebration comes after Chevy was embroiled in controversy again last month after calling his comeback appearance on Community “not funny enough” (cast pictured)
Controversy: The actor was fired from the critically acclaimed NBC sitcom 11 years ago for using the N-word in front of co-stars Yvette Nicole Brown and Donald Glover (left).
Speaking about the current version of the show, he said: “I’m amazed that Lorne [Michaels – creator of SNL] has sunk so low. I had to watch a little of it and I just couldn’t believe it…
“That means a whole generation of idiots are laughing at the worst humor in the world.” You know what I mean? How dare you give this generation even worse crap than they’ve already experienced in their lives? It just drives me crazy.’
SNL colleague Pete Davidson criticized Chevy for his comments, saying, “F*** Chevy Chase.” He’s just a really bad, racist person and I don’t like him.
“It’s also disrespectful to Lorne, a man who gave you a career. ‘No matter how big you get, you can’t forget what that guy did for you.’
Responding to allegations about his bad reputation on Community and SNL, where he got into a fight with co-star Bill Murray backstage in 1978, Chevy said it didn’t bother him.
Addressing his critics, he told CBS Sunday Morning: “I guess you’d have to ask them. ‘I don’t give a c**p’.
He added with a laugh: “I am who I am.” And I like who I am. I do not care. And it’s part of me that I don’t care. And I’ve thought about it a lot. And I don’t know what to tell you, man. I just don’t care.’
Not impressed: Chevy also gave full praise to the show he started on, Saturday Night Live, where he was one of the show’s original cast members before leaving in the second season (pictured in 1980).

Undisturbed: In response to allegations of his bad reputation, Chevy said: “I don’t give that.” I am who I am. And I like who I am. I do not care’
