Not just Pandora. While Chiara Ferragni apologizes for the Balocco case and announces that she will donate one million euros to charity, two previous operations compared to the one with the confectionery company raise renewed concerns in the face of the antitrust fine. Il Fatto Quotidiano recalls today that the influencer was the protagonist of Easter in February 2021 and February 2022. Featuring Ferragni designer eggs sold by Dolci Preziosi. That they once again had to support a charity project: that of “The Children of the Fairies”, a social enterprise that creates pathways to social inclusion for minors affected by autism. And, explains Selvaggia Lucarelli in the newspaper today, with the same scheme as with Balocco pandori.
The scheme
“The Chiara Ferragni x Dolci Preziosi Easter eggs will support the charity project 'I Bambini delle Fate,'” Fedez's then-wife wrote in The Blonde Salad. Here too there is a semantic problem and possibly another “communication error” at this point. Franco Cannillo, the entrepreneur who took over Dolci Preziosi, says that “there is absolutely no connection between the sale of the eggs and the donation to I bambini delle Fate.” Ferragni was paid to share her image. We donated, it wasn’t part of the contract for them.” And the fee? “From my memory it was 500,000 euros in 2021 and 700,000 euros in 2022. Then he demanded an exorbitant amount and we never signed the contract again.” Cannillo explains that the phrase “We support 'The Fairy Children'” is “that's what we did.” “We support” does not mean that you Support a charity with your purchase. That means we donated and we communicate that.”
The price of eggs
The entrepreneur claims that the price of the eggs is the same as the eggs previously produced. The commercial operation was a success. Franco Antonello, the head of the association, explains to Il Fatto: “We have reached an agreement with Dolci Preziosi.” They wanted to write that the donation was linked to sales. We declined and allowed the expression “We support the fairy children” to be used. Antonello says he has had no contact with Ferragni: “I tried to talk to her but it was not possible.” Between 2021 and 2022, donations ranged between 12,000 and 24,000 euros. And now Antonello is surprised that the influencer received completely different numbers: “It’s a shame.”
