After the Milan public prosecutor's office began the investigation, the Cuneo public prosecutor's office also decided to open a file on the case known as “Pandoro Gate”, in which the influencer Chiara Ferragni is involved. The two territorial prosecutors are tasked with investigating Ferragni's residence in Milan and the headquarters of the Balocco company in the province of Cuneo. The Piedmont public prosecutor's office opened the case without naming suspects or hypotheses, with the aim of investigating the matter in detail and obtaining the relevant documents in order to identify possible violations of the law. Despite the statements of Cuneo's chief prosecutor, Onelio Dodero, who initially refused to open the investigation, it was then decided to investigate the matter further.

The prosecutors' attention, Il Giornale reports, is focused on the work of the two companies linked to the influencer and the Piedmontese confectionery company. The Milan Public Prosecutor's Office, led by Deputy Prosecutor Eugenio Fusco, who has not currently identified any crimes or suspects, has tasked the Economic and Financial Police Unit of the Guardia di Finanza with collecting the necessary evidence. It is expected that the contracts between the two companies involved will be acquired in the next few days. Subsequently, after examining the documents, it is likely that Ferragni will be summoned to the prosecutor's office to give her version of events. His lawyers from the renowned Milan law firm Bana had already appeared before the Milan court but made no statement. The influencer could currently be in Switzerland, in St. Moritz, to spend the holidays with his family. Despite several reports of her presence, Ferragni prefers to remain silent until the situation is clarified.
