Chiefs: a record, Taylor Swift and a snowball

The fans of the Kansas City Chiefs, the oldest and newest players as well as a certain singer, are excited this Monday morning.

The day before, her club reached the American NFL Association finals by defeating the Buffalo Bills 27-24 at Highmark Stadium.

Once again it was the Patrick Mahomes-Travis Kelce duo that caused chaos. The quarterback and tight end combined their efforts twice for touchdowns. They have now combined for 16 majors in the playoffs, which is an NFL record.

In fact, Mahomes and Kelce have become the most productive quarterback-tight end duo at this level, ahead of their former teammates Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski.

“It shows the work Travis does. He’s capable of playing in the biggest games,” Mahomes said during press conferences following his team’s victory.

“It's special to be better than anything when it comes to Brady and 'Gronk,'” he also said. They are two of the greatest in our sport.”

Whoever says Kelce's touch inevitably says Taylor Swift's reaction. It's been the standard set by teams broadcasting Chiefs matchups since the singing superstar and the footballer began a romantic relationship.

In her “Stories” on Instagram, Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany published a photo in which several people could be seen in the Chiefs fans' box.

Swift was joined by models Cara Delevingne and Lyndsay Bell, as well as Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Zach Collaros. All members of the Kelce family were also in attendance, including mother, father, Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie.

Remember, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce left last week. The friendly bearded man was at the party without a sweater and outside the dressing room. He still took the time to please a young Swift fan by picking her up and allowing her to say hello to the singer.

Attacked by a snowball

Bills fans, on the other hand, don't care about the multitude of stars who support the Chiefs.

After the final whistle, you could see tears in the eyes of several fans. It was also the third time in four years that the Kansas City club defeated the Bills in a confrontation without tomorrow.

One fan decided to vent his frustration by trying to hit Mahomes with a snowball as he left the field.

The projectile narrowly missed but did not reach its target.

The Chiefs will now try to reach the Super Bowl game for the fourth time in five years. To do that, they have to beat the Ravens in Baltimore next week.
